FAQs

Have you got food on? We have a resident food vendor called ‘Marrow’ who specialises in wood fired steaks, burgers, grilled veggie options, fresh breads and more! There’s an ever changing list of specials with something for everyone.

Are dogs allowed? Yes, for now, we are trialling having dogs in the taproom! So please keep dogs on a lead and respect other customers.

Is there music on? We do occasionally have live music on and this is announced on social media when we do. You can also find out when the next acts are on by checking out our events page.

Do you have disability access? We do indeed. Although the taproom is based on the first floor we do have a disability accessible lift as well a dedicated bathroom. If you need any assistance with the lift or otherwise our staff will be more than happy to help.

What about kids? Little ones are more than welcome as long as they can look after their parents but we do ask all children are out of the bar by 9pm. We do also have baby changing facilities onsite.

Is there public transport to get to you? We are fairly remote, that being said there is a bus that stops at the top of Gulf Lane which is about a 10/15 minute walk from the taproom, the 89 from Lancaster to Knott End click… Here for details. We’re around a 15 minute drive south of Lancaster and a taxi from the station was £22 last time we were quoted. It has been known on occasion for lucky folks to order an Uber to the taproom but I wouldn’t rely upon it.

Can I camp? We don’t have the facilities to offer camping I’m afraid but it’s something we’d love to do in future years.

Where can I stay nearby? We’re fortunate to have a number of wonderful accommodation options near us… Moss Edge Apartment | Sandvilla Stays | Mill House Pods | Horse Park Hideaway | Near Moss Caravan Park | Moss Wood Caravan Park

Is it cold in the winter? The taproom is fully heated in the winter so dunnee fret!

Can I rent the taproom for an event? We don’t offer the option to hire out the taproom for a private event as we wouldn’t want people driving all the way out here to see we’re shut. If you were after booking a few tables for up to around 30-40 people this is something we can accommodate. For bookings please email taproom@farmyardbrew.co.uk

Do you have Shufl board? Does it cost the earth!? We do have Shufl board and darts! We don’t charge to use either of these they are free to play we just ask you leave a deposit behind the bar for the pucks/darts and we ask that only those over 14 use either.

Do you do takeout? We have a massive fridge filled with cans for takeout so you can swing by and pick up your stash to keep your fridge full or to take to your next party. As well as cans we do sell metal growlers that can be purchased and filled.

Do you do gift cards? We do bar tabs which you can find on our online store and buy in the taproom. These tabs are for you use in the taproom only but you can also buy electronic gift cards to be used on the online store.
